The Adult Education Department at NMWA reaches a diverse audience of over 3,200 adults
in the Jackson Hole community in addition to national and international museum visitors.
The programs are based upon the museum's permanent collections, traveling exhibits and support
the museum mission statement: to bring people, wildlife and art together. The programs include
lectures in conjunction with exhibit openings, naturalist lectures, and seminars, workshops and
films that relate to wildlife, art and natural history.
The Adult Education Department develops and prepares scholarly information concerning
both the permanent collection and temporary exhibits for Docent education and development.
The Adult Education Department also manages the NMWA Internship Program that provides professional
work opportunities to undergraduate and graduate level students pursuing relevant degrees in art
education and museum management. Contact the Education Department for more information.
