Federal Junior Duck Stamp Program

The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program was developed in 1990 with the support of a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The contest uses art to teach the importance of conserving our national wetlands, and to expand knowledge of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp as a conservation program. It targets the youth in public and private schools in grades kindergarten through high school for participation in activities which will lead to a greater awareness of our nation's living resources. It especially enables inner-city and cross cultural students to experience hands-on, creative, conservation learning activities.

The goal of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program is to educate a new generation of the public about the importance of waterfowl and wetlands conservation.
