Through out the school year the National Museum of Wildlife Art hosts many regional school groups. The students participate in interactive tours through the galleries.

There's an art to education
"There's an Art to Education" primarily serves the regional school districts. Each of the 28 lessons is designed for a specific grade level and usually includes a pre-visit by an education staff member to the classroom, a museum visit by the class and a post visit activity. This curriculum is directly tied to NMWA's permanent collection of art.

The NMWA also offers many programs like the Federal Junior Duck Stamp workshop - an opportunity for school children to create an entry for the national contest.

At the end of each school year, the museum presents the School Arts Spectacular. This event features NMWA education programs and celebrates the end of the school year.

In the summertime, the National Museum of Wildlife Art offers many activities for young people. Family Fundays is a series for all ages. Award winning films for all ages from the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival are featured as well. To schedule a visit or to recieve a schedule of events, contact our Education Department
