Learning at Your Museum in Jackson Hole
The Museum’s Education Department is dedicated to providing exceptional educational programs to students of all ages both at the Museum and through outreach programs. Connections between people, wildlife, and fine art are central themes to educational programming at the Museum for students of all ages. Learn about art history, American History, conservation, wildlife, biology, ecology, and cultural anthropology in our multidisciplinary programs. The Museum encourages artistic creation by organizing student art contests and exhibitions.
On-site programs connect our collection to a wide variety of other disciplines and are developed for grade levels pre-K through 12. Most lessons involve pre and post-visit activities in addition to a Museum visit. Visit the Museum for other educational events such as workshops and special performances.
Online programs are educational resources uniquely designed for the web. These interdisciplinary lessons utilize our wildlife art collections to inspire a deeper understanding of other subject areas.
bring the National Museum of Wildlife Art to you. Teachers borrow these popular resources free of charge for classroom use.
The Museum is the proud host of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition for the state of Wyoming. We provide workshops, contest information, and present an annual exhibition that highlights young winners.
Adults benefit from the Museum's educational endeavors through our adult education programs. Graduate students can participate in internship programs. Films, symposia, and workshops stimulate continued learning for all ages.
Our special thanks to the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, which generously sponsors our educational programs and web outreach.
These programs are also sponsored in part by our Business Members.
