Museum Photography Guidelines
Visitors are welcome to take photographs of the Museum and its collection and grounds, using hand-held still or video cameras only, under the following guidelines:
- Use of flash lighting or external photo equipment including tripods in the galleries is prohibited. Lights and photography equipment may damage some artwork;
- Visitors may not photograph or film temporary exhibitions or borrowed works of art. Conditions attached to the contract of loaned items may prohibit the use of photography;

Photographers and videographers are responsible for following applicable copyright law(s);
- Photographs and film are for personal use only and cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise used for commercial purposes.
To obtain permission to reproduce images for commercial purposes of the buildings, grounds, or works of art in the National Museum of Wildlife Art collection, or to obtain Museum generated images of the above, please contact the Registrar. The reproduction request can be obtained online.
