Animal Athletes: Jump the Stream
Ages: 5 and up
Location: Outside
All the players are foxes and have wonderful leaping abilities. In this game, the foxes must jump over a stream that gets wider and wider.
- Lay two ropes, such as jump ropes, straight on the ground parallel to one another about one foot apart. The ropes represent the banks of a stream that the fox must leap over.
- Once all the foxes have had a chance to jump the stream, increase the width of the stream by further separating the ropes. Then, all the foxes try to jump over the wider stream.
- If a fox does not make it to the opposite bank or touches one of the ropes when he jumps, he is out of the game.
- The fox that jumps the widest stream is the winner.
