Roy Varley of Colorado Mesa University washes “Sovereign Wings” July 26, 2012  |  By Jane Lavino

Interns conserve sculptures, conduct visitor surveys, teach kids’ classes, and hang exhibits.

We have long had a fabulous program that supports two paid interns at our Museum during summer months http://www.wildlifeart.org/learn/internships/. This summer we have been able to add three additional, volunteer interns to our staff. We love their youthful enthusiasm, sense of humor, and unique areas of expertise. They are undergrad and graduate students studying Education, Art History, American Studies, and Arts Administration. By summer’s end they have explored a potential career and gained valuable references. Past summer interns have gone on to land jobs in such places as the Shelburne Museum, the Yale University Art Museum, and the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Thank you to Roy Varley, Hillary Burbank Carman, Lana Grover, Jenna Kloeppel , and Margaret Hanson, our 2012 interns. We are excited to see where your talents take you next!
