Mix’d Media: Wildlife of the American West January 15, 2013 | By Amy Goicoechea
The Mix’d Media on Thursday, January 10th was dedicated to our Wildlife of the American West: Works on Paper from the Original Collection exhibition, and we had a blast! We focused on Carl Rungius’ 1907 poster for a Sportsmen’s Show held in NYC. We thank Root Cellar; Ben Winship, Tom Marshall, and Thomas Sneed, for the fantastic hunting and fishing tunes. We are grateful to Beverly and Shawn Smith of Trout Unlimited, for their help tying lovely, wearable flies. We truly appreciate Jennifer Wolf from Ducks Unlimited for leading the “Paint Your Own Rubber Duck” activity. We honor Lynn and Shephard Humphries of Jackson Hole Shooting Experience for such fun marksmanship games. We salute Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company for the delicious salami. We offer gratitude to Vom Fass for pouring fantastic cocktails. Guests also enjoyed smoked trout pasta & fondue s’mores, thank to the Rising Sage Cafe.
Mix’d Media programs are generously sponsored by Home Health for Pets, First Interstate Bank, The Charles Engelhard Foundation, and Spring Creek Ranch.
