Plein Air Fest 2013 May 23, 2013  |  By Admin

If you’ve ever been curious about the process of creating a work of art, the Plein Air Fest is for you. On June 22nd, over 30 artists will bring their paint and easels to the museum, completing a new work in just 4 hours. Visitors will have the chance to observe talented artists painting “en plein air” – or in other words – outside among the museum’s sculptures and natural setting.

Patrons will have the chance to purchase the artwork created during this event through a silent bid, as well as enjoy Cajun music, a jambalaya cook-off and fun activities for the kids. After a long winter cooped up inside, this will be a great opportunity to get out with the family! Come celebrate art, summer, and the outdoors with us on Saturday, June 22nd from 10am to 4pm.
