November Mix’d Media November 12, 2013 | By Carter Cox
As Jackson locals are getting excited about powder days, but the snow isn’t that tempting yet, I am getting excited for the Museum’s Mix’d Media event this week. The National Museum of Wildlife Art is hosting our first Mix’d Media of the season, a party geared toward folks wanting to have a good time while also checking out the current exhibits. This is one of my favorite events! It’s a perfect opportunity for my friends to gather to enjoy libations, great food, and explore art. This month, I am especially looking forward to Mix’d Media because it celebrates the opening of Wonder Cabinet: A Collection of Curiosities. This exhibit is full of items contributed by community members, local artists, and oddities that are rarely seen from our collection. I hope to see you on Thursday! And to sweeten the deal famed Oscar Ortega is providing chocolates. What’s not to love about that!
So, now that the sun is going down early and we are all less tempted to be out on the river or our mountain bikes, grab your friends and come join us at Mix’d Media on Thursday, November 14 from 6-9pm.
