Mix’d Media: Wild Wonders of Europe December 10, 2013 | By Admin
Que fiesta! We’re throwing a wild celebration in honor of our fantastic photo exhibit: Wild Wonders of Europe. The exhibit is an impressive visual expression of a massive conservation and communications initiative. The photos transport us to European landscapes, and expose us to images of unexpected creatures. Organized by Staffan Widstrand, Florian Möllers, Magnus Lundgren and Bridget Wijnberg the exhibit features the best of 200,000 images shot by 69 world-class European nature photographers on 133 missions to 48 countries, portraying more than 50 national parks and 1000 animal and plant species.
The 10th World Wilderness Congress was held in Salamanca, Spain in October, 2013. Our December 12 Mix’d Media will join in solidarity with that effort and the Rewildling Europe initiative, by throwing a party with some Spanish flare.
Join exhibit co-sponsors The Murie Center and the Wild Foundation for a glass of wine, tapas, and a Spanish dance demo by Emmy DiGrappa!
Dance to DJ VerT-One’s grooves, make a wild mask, and search for birds and beasts in the galleries with a Polaroid.
Donations are welcome.
Don’t miss the fiesta from 6-9 pm on Thursday, December 12!
Mix’d Media programs are generously sponsored by Cultural Council of Jackson Hole / Town and County Arts for All, First Interstate Bank, Home Health for Pets, and Spring Creek Ranch.
