Wildlife in American Art: Masterworks from the National Museum of Wildlife Art
Wildlife in American Art: Masterworks from the National Museum of Wildlife Art by Adam Duncan Harris, Ph.D.

For more than two decades, the National Museum of Wildlife Art has been building the most comprehensive collection of paintings and sculptures portraying North American wildlife in the world. We are pleased to announce the publication of the Museum’s first major collection catalogue, Wildlife in American Art: Masterworks from the National Museum of Wildlife Art, written by Curator of Art Adam Duncan Harris, Ph.D., with a preface by Museum Founder Bill Kerr, and Foreword by Museum President & CEO James C. McNutt, Ph.D.

Wildlife in American Art presents an exciting tour through the Museum’s finest holdings as it charts the history of this enduring presence in the history of American art, and explores the evolving relationship between Americans and the natural resources of this continent. The book features more than 125 full-color illustrations, highlighting the entire range of the Museum’s collection from the western wilds of George Catlin to the desert drama of Georgia O’Keeffe. Also included are visitor favorites such as John James Audubon, Albert Bierstadt, Carl Rungius, Edward Kemeys, Paul Manship, and Robert Kuhn.
