Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Transportation Norman Mineta, a Heart Mountain internee, and Former U.S. Senator Alan Simpson will share their story of a lifelong friendship formed at Heart Mountain (shown below).

SHIFT is the annual food, film and music festival celebrating Jackson Hole’s ongoing legacy as a crucible of conservation. The inaugural SHIFT Festival will debut on Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 11-13, with a focus on nature, culture and adventure and their respective intersections with conservation.

The programming for Sunday, October 13, which will be held at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, focuses on Jackson’s natural capital, crowd sourcing perspective from those who love it best—Jackson residents—for an evening of Pecha Kucha.

People's Choice Award - $1,000 cash prize to be determined by the audience for best SHIFT 20/20 presentation. A panel of judges will also award a nonprofit presentation $1,000, to be directed to the recipient’s chosen Teton County non-profit.  For more information see or email
