About Fran Jenkins

Artist and sculptor, Fran Jenkins has turned her deep love for stone and wildlife into forty five years of creating wild animals out of rugged pieces of stone. Fran began to experiment with clay and bronze sculptures within the last decade, enjoying the freedom to create work relatively quickly, transforming the clay into the animals she knows so well, from years of working in stone. Fran's work is found corporate and private collections around the world.

Artist Statement

I believe my work exhibits an instinctive ability to capture the strength and fluidity of movement that is the essence of the animals being. I match the rhythm of the medium with the movement of the subject to natural proportion and balance.

What People Are Saying

We came here in the recommendation of a worker at Yellowstone. The museum itself is beautiful, nestled into the hills outside Jackson. The art is stunning. Some feel almost like photographs. Highly recommended.
