SUMMARY:Artist Meet & Greet with Jeff Frost
DESCRIPTION:FREE to Museum members and included in the cost of general admission. \nJoin us for a special opportunity to meet contemporary artist Jeff Frost on Thursday\, July 18 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Changing Visions Gallery. Frost’s photography and video artwork is featured in the ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT II exhibition through August 25\, 2024. Frost will give insight into the inspiration behind his works in the exhibit\, and explain why this exhibition is so powerful. \n“My work thrives in the spaces in between\, existing on a spectrum of duality between creation and destruction. Recurring themes center around agents of entropy dismantling civilization\, even as we frantically build it up. That said\, pondering human extinction makes connecting to awe and wonder all the more vital. Moments of creation and joy are what make the journey worth it\, after all\,” says Frost. \nJeff Frost is a contemporary artist based in Southern California working to reconnect humans to nature. His mediums include photography\, painting\, film\, installation\, and music. He has been featured in numerous publications and TV interviews\, such as the New York Times\, Art Forum\, Artnet\, National Geographic\, PBS Newshour\, TIME\, and American Photo. This will be Frost’s first time exhibiting at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. \nENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT II is produced by David J. Wagner\, L.L.C.\, David J. Wagner\, PhD\, Curator/Tour Director\, davidjwagnerllc.com. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jeff Frost (United States\, b. 1978)\, Lake Fire\, Milky Way Overlook\, 2016.
