National Museum of Wildlife Art Hires Chief Advancement Officer

The Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Wildlife Art of the United States is pleased to announce the appointment of Ponteir Sackrey as Chief Advancement Officer. The Board has taken this action in the fullest confidence that Ponteir will successfully lead the Museum’s key advancement strategies.

“We are pleased to welcome Ponteir. We are confident that her experience will help the Museum grow not only financially but also in its reputation as an outstanding national and international institution,” states Dick Beck, Museum board chair.

As a long-time member of the Jackson Hole nonprofit community, Ponteir brings many years of philanthropic experience to the Museum. She recently worked for the Grand Teton National Park Foundation as a Senior Development Officer, where she stewarded over 200 donors, corporations, and foundations to support the Foundation’s key initiatives. Her community volunteerism currently includes serving on Womentum’s Board of Directors, Old Bill’s Fun Run Committee with the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, and First Interstate Bank Advisory Board. She is a former board chair of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and Jackson Hole Joint Powers Travel and Tourism Board.

As the Chief Advancement Officer, Ponteir will oversee Development, Marketing, and Programs & Events, focusing on building existing and new audiences, and growing the museum’s endowment and planned giving programs. “I cannot wait to get my feet on the ground and continue to build on the Museum’s impressive legacy,” says Sackrey.
