Best of Jackson Hole & 2024 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Winner

The votes are in for this year’s Best of Jackson Hole, and the National Museum of Wildlife Art (NMWA) placed in three categories—GOLD for Best Art Gallery, SILVER for Best Gift Shop, and BRONZE for Best Wedding Venue! This is the sixth consecutive Gold win for Best Art Gallery and the first win for the Museum in Best Gift Shop and Best Wedding Venue. “Thank you for your votes and continued support, we love being part of this vibrant community,” says the Museum’s Director of Marketing, Madison Webb Stanko.

The National Museum of Wildlife Art is also a winner in the 2024 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for Best Art Museum. Voting began in January, with only twenty museums nominated across the country. NMWA was the only Wyoming museum nominated. A panel of experts submits nominees, and 10Best editors narrow the field to select the final set of nominees for the Readers’ Choice Awards. Voting was then open to the public through the middle of February.

The top ten winners in this category are as follows:

  7. National Museum of Wildlife Art

  10. The Art Institute of Chicago

This is the second consecutive year that NMWA has placed in these awards, finishing fifth in 2023. “Our unique mission and collection continue to set us apart on both the local and national stage,” says Webb Stanko. “These awards also confirm the resonance of wildlife and nature. The work being done here is impactful and we look forward to continuing on this trajectory of excellence.”
