Thomas Quinn lives in Marin County, California, where he was raised. Working mainly in watercolor, he draws subjects from his local environment, animals, birds, and plants in the marshes and arroyos near his home. He graduated with distinction from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and has had exhibits at galleries and museums around the country, including a one-man show at the Frederic Remington Art Museum. He is a regular participant in Birds in Art, where he was selected as 1998 Master Wildlife Artist of the Year. His work is also featured in the permanent collections of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, and National Museum of Wildlife Art.
