New Music in the Mountains: The Wyoming Festival

July 16, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Wyoming Festival—in a new collaboration with the nonprofit Arts Capacity—celebrates its seventh season with a stop at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, presenting an evening of new chamber music in the Cook Auditorium inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. A quintet of virtuosic musicians from the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, led by Music Director and violinist Holly Mulcahy, will premiere brand-new works by composers drawn to the nature, science, and culture of the Teton region—including a piece inspired by the pika from festival founder Dr. Anne M. Guzzo.

Join us Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 6 p.m., followed by a light reception. Free and open to the public.

Performers: Holly Mulcahy, violin; Barbara Scowcroft, violin; Rita Porfiris, viola; David Mollenauer, cello; Craig Mulcahy, trombone

Composers: Anne M. Guzzo, Shawna (Wolf) Emery, Maren Haynes Marchesini, Tim Hinck
