About Kay Northup

Kay is a native Texan who lived, worked, painted and raised a family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She has relocated to a new home in the Hill Country near Fredericksburg – where Texas subject matter, color palette and composition has become an all new direction!
She has been mentored and influenced by Greg McHuron, Hollis Williford, Scott Christensen and Bob Kuhn. Kay continues to spend summers in Jackson Hole and Idaho, exhibits in galleries and national juried shows.

Artist Statement

Painting is my personal connection to joy in life, my expression of and response to color, form light and atmosphere in the world around all of us. I search for and feel connected to the Universal Truth each time I spend hours letting palette, brush and canvas say what words cannot.

What People Are Saying

We came here in the recommendation of a worker at Yellowstone. The museum itself is beautiful, nestled into the hills outside Jackson. The art is stunning. Some feel almost like photographs. Highly recommended.
