In 1991, Doris Clymer and the Clymer family donated the contents of John Clymer’s Jackson Hole studio to the Museum. This installation of the John Clymer studio includes his reference books, studio props, costumes, and approximately 200 artifacts collected during his lifetime.

This recreation of John Clymer's studio includes his art supplies as well as the many artifacts he collected during his lifetime.
Clymer's studio consisted of hundreds of reference books, studio props, and costumes.
John Clymer began as an illustrator and later switched his focus to painting historical scenes and events that occurred on the American frontier.
John Clymer said that he always tried to take the viewer of his art “to an actual place and make them feel that they were really there.”

State of the Art: Student Art Show in Honor of Marion Buchenroth

Through May 4, 2025

This youth art exhibit is an annual collaboration between the National Museum of Wildlife Art and art educators from Teton County schools. The several hundred works of art on display beautifully demonstrate how students grow as artists as they move through grades K-12.
