Plein Air in Jackson Hole Wyoming

This year was the 8th Annual Plein Air Fest held at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. During this event, more than 50 invited artists were given one day to create new masterpieces en plein air. They painted from the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s Sculpture Trail with stupendous views overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Collectors  browsed and bid on the fresh artworks, which were sold by silent bid.

Proceeds benefit the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

Live music from Major Zephyr 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

This year’s Plein Air Fest took place Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Bidding begans at 12:30 p.m.

What People Are Saying

We came here in the recommendation of a worker at Yellowstone. The museum itself is beautiful, nestled into the hills outside Jackson. The art is stunning. Some feel almost like photographs. Highly recommended.
